“He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.””

These are familiar verses, but this morning I realized it sometimes takes faith to believe them. Sometimes people in the world put on such a convincing mask of “I’m fine, everything’s fine” that it’s easy to look at their lives and wonder if I’m the only one who has such a desperate need for Jesus. To wonder if they would even listen to anything about Jesus and His great love for them.

But Jesus says in the verses above that things are not as they sometimes appear, the harvest is ready, more harvest than workers. Despite the masks, people are hungry for Christ.

Believing Christ’s words by faith gives me a greater desire to share my faith with others. Will you do the same?
